I collaborated with a fellow student to design a political communication campaign to promote civic awareness of youth in Northern Durack, Western Australia. The primary goal was to increase youth engagement with civic duties and democratic processes. We began by conducting in-depth research into the region's political, economic, social, and technological landscape, which became the foundation of our campaign strategy.
The campaign consisted of two key initiatives: Visits for Civics — a series of school visits aimed at directly engaging students in discussions about civic responsibility, and #YouthForCivics — a social media campaign designed to sustain engagement and amplify the message following the school visits. We chose Experiential Learning (EL) as the central strategy for the campaign, believing it to be the most effective approach for fostering long-term civic engagement among young people. Below is the detailed campaign plan report.

This experience strengthened my skills in political communication, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and creating impactful PR campaigns. I was fortunate to receive a High Distinction for this project, with my tutor noting that it was "a well-informed and very well-researched campaign that shows a clear understanding of the brief."
