Public Interest Communication, Stakeholder Analysis, Advocacy Storytelling, Podcast Production, Critical Thinking
I researched and produced an audio podcast for the Public Interest Communication course focused on a wicked social problem tied to one of the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals. I chose to examine the issue of unequal access to quality education in Jakarta, connecting it to SDG Goal 1 (No Poverty), Goal 4 (Quality Education), and Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities). The podcast also featured an interview, highlighting the issue's complexities and identifying key public and conflicting interests.
The 8-minute podcast titled "Unequal Access to Quality Education in Jakarta."
Creating this podcast allowed me to learn how to research, craft compelling content, and communicate complex issues in a relatable and impactful way—skills essential for modern PR practice. I was grateful to receive a High Distinction, with my tutor highlighting, “Excellent inclusion of publics and interests. Creative storytelling and technically well done.”
